Congratulations to our organization for successfully joining the SLCP organization and becoming a signatory
SLCP Certification (Social & Labor Convergence Project) is an acronym for the Social & Labor Integration Project, which is committed to creating and implementing a simple, uniform and effective Integration Assessment Framework (CAF) for the collection of social and labor data. Support stakeholders in improving working conditions in the global supply chain. Compared to other compliance audits, the framework will be standards-neutral: the focus is on collecting factory performance data in a consistent and reliable manner, enabling data sharing and comparison across brands and organizations. The SLCP program focuses on social and Labour aspects and consists of nine core themes, namely recruitment and employment, working hours, wages and benefits, treatment of employees, employee engagement, health and safety, termination of employment, management systems, worker well-being and social impact.
The SLCP certification program adopts a multi-stakeholder model. There are now more than 200 signatories, including manufacturers, brands, retailers, agencies, national governments, standards bodies, industry associations, audit bodies, consultancies, and intergovernmental organizations (observers), all committed to working together in an inclusive and trusting manner.
Benefits of SLCP validation:
1. Demonstrate corporate social responsibility compliance;
Complete SLCP verification to ensure that all parties carry out legal, humane and ethical manufacturing activities.
2. Information sharing;
In order to share verification information with different hosting platforms in the future, factories can start building multiple hosting platforms. But self-assessment and verification only need to be done on the same hosting platform. The factory can download or share verified data information with the customer through the hosting platform to facilitate information sharing.
3. Data confidentiality;
A factory may decide to share its SLCP validated evaluation data with an approved hosting platform. The gateway does not share its data without factory approval. The gateway will store all assessment data hosted by the Trade Center (TC), a joint World Trade Organization and United Nations agency that complies with relevant data security standards.
4. Reduce risks;
Through the SLCP project verification, ensure the creation of a safe working environment and reasonable labor security, reduce the possibility of damaging the company's reputation.
The goal of the SLCP is to create a comprehensive evaluation framework for social labor data collection to eliminate audit fatigue. Avoid duplication and reduce the number of social Labour audits by replacing existing proprietary evaluation tools. New use of resources previously used for compliance audits to improve social labor conditions and improve the comparability of social labor data.
